New Droid User Email Question

Hey everyone, quick question as a newb here....I am coming from a Blackberry storm 2, is there a way to get aol instantly pushed to the phone. I opened a gmail account as well and tried to forward them last night but none have really come through..Any help here would be great....

thanks so much your feedback was helpful. Now is there any way to set the frequency gmail pushes my aol email to me? On my blackberry I would get the emails instantly and now it doesnt seem to play out that way it takes much longer?
