I had the same problem last night. I just ended up getting the zip files in Post #1 and unzipping and moving them over to the SD drive. Astro worked perfectly with the install.

I just found a link on like page 5 that allowed me to download the gallery. :) now just gotta get the clock...

I don't really like the green clock but I slept with it in my dock last night with the dimmer and it was PERFECT for sleeping. I was nicely surprised.

Thanks for the conversion information from C to F - lol.

I had the weather/news widget installed already, when I updated the clock it displays my current weather, however like everyone else it displays Celcius even though when you go into the settings it's F. Not a big deal to me because I'm sleeping when it's in dock mode. And, its easy to convert C to F anyway. Take the C temp, x 2 + 30 = F. So, for example 20C x 2 = 40C + 30 = 70 F.

I am a big fan of the green clock with black background. I also find the normal dimmer w/o going to green clock wayyyyy too dark. And, just now as I'm typing this, my alarm went off as scheduled, however when I hit to stop the clock it kept ringing. Also, when I took the phone out of the multimedia dock this morning, all the icons from the 3 home screens were gone, and came back only after power cycling the phone. Anyone else experience any of this?

Guys this new Gallery is just AWESOME! I can't wait for the full version of 2.1 to be official!!! (No I'm not rooting my Droid!!). For those using Astro as your file manager: What I did was follow all the directions for installing (unzipping on my COMPUTER and transferring to Droid via usb)...but I put the .apk file in the BACKUPS folder that Astro creates on the SD card automatically. That way when I open up Astro and got to Menu/Tools/Application Manager:Backup the file is already there as a backup file...just a simple shortcut to save a few steps..

I haven't tried the clock yet since I don't have a Dock to really benefit from it. But I do have a question that I can't seem to decipher from the instructions posted...When your Droid is NOT rooted and you have both clocks installed, how do you get to the 2.1 version? Will it let you choose like it does when you have a Home replacement app installed? (I am using Home++ by the way)

Thanks

Use the "Clock" app in the app drawer or add a shortuct for it on home page. Just open it like any other app.

One interesting thing with it, when you have the "Clock" open and put your phone on standby when you push the power button to wake it back up it up it opens on the clock screen and bypasses the lock screen as long as the clock app is open.

Thanks for the information. I just installed the clock...nice but again...questions...

Where is this "green" clock people are talking about? Also, I have the News & Weather widget installed however I can get the weather with "Use My Location"? It never worked from the beginning. Since I already have the pre-HTC version of Beautiful Widgets installed I didn't worry about it. But it would be nice to figure it out?

Thanks Again!

I installed the gallery then restarted but it is stuck on the "loading" I left it alone for over 10 minutes came back and its still stuck I can't figure out how to get it to work. Anyone know what's wrong?

I have a question about the gallery; When I open it, it shows several different folders with pictures. one of those folders is "drawable," I believe it has pictures from the news widget. I don't really want to see those unwanted icons in my gallery. Is there any way to choose the folders to view in the gallery?

When in the dock mode, on the right hand side is the round dimmer button. Long press on it and will switch it to the green clock.

It sounds like you have an app on your SD that has been renamed to a .zip file Probably the original download for the Geniewidget.apk Find the .zip file and delete it or rename it to .apk
