Need Help To Root my Moto Drip 2.1

Hi!

I downloaded the update.zip to the sd card root and when I go into same mode to install it it says:

E:Can't open

Installation Aborted.

Any feedback will be highly appreciated!!!

I believe you can only root your droid if it's 2.0.1. (im not 100% sure on this)

if this is the case. im assuming you'd have to bring your droid back to 2.0.1 (probably through same steps as root, but with different downloaded file)

then once your back at 2.0.1 the root would work if all the steps are followed right.

im just using common sense, i could easily be wrong.

yeah the only way i know how is to use the SBF file to root.

You can root 2.1 using this - it will leave you with a rooted 2.1 phone.

I did it and it worked fine. I have now gone further and installed Bugless Beast since then.

Now... can someone please tell me how to install custom roms and where to download them??

You can always download Rom Manager from the market and download them from there. It's worth the few dollars it cost because it makes things a lot easier.
