Did you have any sort of encryption before you did the FDR?

When you open My Gallery, and choose My Library go to the upper left corner drop down and select Albums. Do you get anything there? If not seeing the actual pictures, are there icons or anything?

Nothing encrypted and no album or icons in my gallery except the pictures that I've taken since the FDR.

I'm having a similar issue with the pic app - but I use Google Music for any tunes.

QuickPic is the best gallery browser IMO, and as far as music goes I go with UberMusic.

You say they show up in the myfiles section?? In internal storage or in the sdcard? Make a file in the sdcard, call it messaging and move all of the pics to that file. Then try going into settings, apps, manage apps, all, gallery, clear data and force close.

For music, do the same, just name the folder music. Hope this helps

DROID RAZR MAXXIMIZED!!!! PREPARE TO BE VANQUISHED!!!

I've dealt with this in the past. It's probably a corrupted file.

1. Remove all music and photos from phone & SD to another storage device. Preferably to a PC.

2. Turn off your phone, Remove SD.

3. With the SD out, turn on your phone and everything should be working.

4. Go through the pics and music on your PC until you find the corrupted file.

5. Put everything back on the SD and hope that everything runs smooth.

Good luck

This is what I had planned to do but my power supply went in my PC. As soon as I have a chance I will give it a try. Thanks.

I just got my replacement RAZR today and it was able to read the pictures in My Gallery. If there is a corrupt file maybe it's on the internal SD.

It turns out that there was a problem with a music file on my SD card. It was the cause of the battery issues and it may have been causing the problems with viewing files in my gallery too. I deleted the SD card and I am now able to transfer files without a problem.

Thank you all for your help.

Thanks for posting back what the issue was. No doubt you will not be the only one with that problem so this will be helpful to someone else.

Glad it's fixed!

I solved it by performing a factory data reset
