Music Player freezing phone after 2.2

I understand the "bricking" issue. I don't wanna lock my precious! Do I even need to root it if I'm not the biggest techie around? I wonder what qualifies the need for rooting a DX. I don't wanna risk locking it up if I don't need to.

My DX has 2.2 OTA and no ATK installed. The music player still freezes and all sorts of demonic possessions. Will Mixzing play my stuff uninterrupted? I'll try it.

Having the same issues as well.

I tried a few audio players before I found this one!! - Its cool and better then the one that comes with the phone

Does anyone know how to uninstall google music player?
