Ok, I thought it was bull too, but it is legit. I'm installing it on my Vista 64 computer as we speak. It is a direct link to Microsoft. I don't use MS Office, or anything too often, but thought it would be nice to have an update Word program for this computer w/o spending over $100 for it.

Here's the link if anyone wants to try it. I'm not responsible for anything that could happen to your install!

Microsoft Office 2010 Beta - Free Download

Wow nice! Thanks for the link and the heads up. I've been running office 03 cause I refused to pay for 2007. I had it threw my tech-net subscription which has now expired so a beta is exactly what I needed.

I've been using it on my desktop for quite a while now. Just installed it on my daughters new laptop last night. It works great. I think it expires in october.

very nice find, thanks! but i'm still using the 2010 technical preview that MS released last year. works perfectly :)

Yea I've been using 2010 for about a year now. It is by far their best Office release. I love the threading they've added to Outlook. It's such a small change but it such a massive improvement.

i have it downloaded on my netbook, but i have to say i do not use my netbook for word processing very often. I basically downloaded beta 2010 for ease of...well downloading and freeness. Since my netbook doesnt have a cd drive.

but my main computer still has 2007, ive taken several advanced microsoft office courses during college and i know 2007 like the back of my hand, i didnt want to have to relearn a bunch of layout.

Outlook 2010 rocks! To me, it's way better than Vista's Microsoft Mail (or whatever it was called). Outlook used to be a memory hog, but this iteration runs really smooth and integrates nicely with other Office and Windows 7 components.
