We've been hearing several reports of folks getting emails for a new Motorola soak test. This time it is for the original Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX. Sadly, it is NOT for Android 4.4 KitKat. This new update will just feature some big fixes and other enhancements. In fact, Motorola confirmed previously that these two devices will stay on Jelly Bean indefinitely.
It's a bit frustrating to see that these once top-of-the-line models from Motorola likely won't ever get the KitKat update. Even though they are about two years old now, there is no reason the hardware couldn't support the update. Still, it's good to see that Motorola is still interested in keeping the device viable by squashing a few bugs. We will keep you apprised how the soak test goes.
