All sarcasam aside, if I was a Moto customer care rep. fielding a million calls about 2.1, I would get sick of it and start makin stuff up...but I guess thats just me. :icon_ devil:

Most people do not even know about this update. They dont know the number nor have they called Motorola. It is only US handful of idiots complaining about the UPDATE that MOtorola promised and didnt deliver. BTW they made no such promise.

I experienced this too when using the Sholes *****in bagel 2.0.2 maps. I had to restore to factory, then wipe it. Are you rooted?

Does the unlock screen in the above pic look like the one on 2.1 Nexus One? It appears very different from anything that I have seen.

So the link previously listed shows an update which says a Motorola Rep confirmed a release of Feb 10th at a Verizon event for the 2.1 release.

We'll i wonder if we will start to see anything else stating this date? Let the countdown begin again?

My guess..... don't count on anything that is in the link. It looks so made up it is unreal.

Enjoy your fully functioning DRIOD at 2.0.1, and if you want some of the "goodies" now, go get the APP's that have been ported and enjoy. There is a working Multi-touch Gallery, Multi-Touch Maps, 5 Home screens and the 3D launch tray.

Thats just another rumor. If motorola was ready to announce something im sure they would of done it already. Plus, its not motorola releasing the update, it's Verizon. So Verizon will be the one to announce something if they ever decide to release 2.1. Until than, all these rumored dates mean nothing

I know a guy who owned a motorola once and he told me that the 2.1 update was scheduled to be released this weekend but the truck that was delivering the update got snowed in. He said after that motorola just decided to wait till 2012 to release Android 2.2.01 which uses cerebral implants for thought-to-text input.

Thats a fake. I think the author chopped up that mock-up to drive traffic to his site.

I went to the local verizon store today to buy my youngest daughter an Eris for Valentines Day. The sales associate brought out the tech guy when I asked him about 2.1. Mr tech guy said it's on it's way soon but didn't know any specific date.
