yes you have to root in order to get 2.1 HOWEVER..you can get the gallery and the launcher for 2.01.

how do i overclock. i just did root and sholes beagle update. maybe its a stupid question but this is all new for me.

This is relavant information regarding 2.1 this is in no way an Actual release date: There was an article I was reading regarding 2.1 and it stated that google had just released 2.1 Release 1 to Manufacturers so it is now up to Samsung,Motorola,LG,HTC,ETC... which still means it could be next week,Next month or next year. Just thought you guys would like to know the progress somewhat.

@mitch if the sholesmod rom 2.0.2 is installed and set cpu downloaded ,slide the bar in set cpu from 550mhz to 800 or 1000, bingo your overclocked

You getting excited, and then let down. This in turn made me happy. UPDATE: no update yet.

I was neither excited or let down at this lame attempt at humor. My DROID works fine
and when i do get an update im hoping it is as stable as my existing os is. I just didnt quite get what you were trying to accomplish. OH BTW You failed in your attempt.:icon_ banana:
