Agreed. I think VZ will be "close" to their internally published date of 1/22, but wouldn't be surprised if it slips a bit. But either way, 1/22 has been talked about for over 2 months and it was never mentioned as a "prep for 2.1" until just this week. It was always discussed as an update with a number fixes for known issues.

To be completely honest, I'm not even excited about this update anymore. Mainly because of the monotony and anticipation. I have been SO EXTREMELY EXCITED and antsy about this for like the past couple weeks...hearing this rumor and that rumor just kept fueling the fire. But for some reason today, I've reached my limit. I don't even care anymore. If they're gonna send it just send it and quit tryin to keep it all hush hush like its top secret Area 51 sh*t...I mean my god its a software update!! Wow! There's nothing wrong or incriminating about talkin about what your gonna be doing to our phones is there? Damn...but my point is, I give up, and I suggest everyone else do the same thing unless you wanna (more than likely) be dissappointed. I mean yeah it'd be great if they send it but now, I probably won't even be as excited about it if I do receive it, cause all this drama over a software update, now, just seems ridiculous! Like I actually feel kind of embarrassed that I've been this excited over a software update!!! I mean come on!!
and we might not...still unsure but am trying to find out. For those who haven't maybe they will push it all at once,,,,,,again I am still not sure 2.1 is going to push tonight... but I am also unsure it isn't

ahh i hope it does. but i believe it will not. idk. there is not like release date confirmed. its all "guesses".
we will see in time!
I agree........but you never know...it seems more "likely" the phase 1 will continue and phse 2 could start

i agree! the droid is an epic win! but... an update. is an update. i dont care if it does nothing. lol. it just gives me excitement. i dont know why.
22nd 2.1 will be out I guess they go in order of who bought the phone first gets the update pushed through first. Thats what the VZW rep. said also Flash isn't suppose to be in 2.1 according to the rep. so people who were saying that don't get your hopes up to high
Don't think that's how it's pushed out. I was there day 1 to get my phone and by day 2 that 2.0.1 was out I still didn't get it.
One idea ive seen people tossing around is that the 61.4MB update might have been a full install of 2.0.1 to fix any issues with corrupt files some people might have had. It seems that update has stopped so maybe that phase is completed and then Friday will start 2.1 being pushed out?
