O, wherefore art thou, update?
Deny thy Nexus and refuse thy root hack.
Or if thou wilt not, be but sworn to a release date
And I'll no longer be asking for the freaking update!

Now I am getting this info from the same paper I got the first update date (the 11th of Dec.) which was correct so I am going to go all out and say it is going to be correct again. According to the leaked Verizon memo they have an estimated date for the 2.1 release as January 27th so I would start looking around that date and see. Again not confirmed but was correct the first time :)

I'm working on an app right now that will grab OS updates created in the future. I have a few more kinks to work out, but soon you'll all be able to have v3.5 on your Droids. 3.6 and beyond will require a hardware upgrade. Anyone interested in being a beta tester?

If there's no flash who needs it? It'll be like the Nexux 1, more or less the same as the Droid is now from what I read.

2.1 is needed to fix several minor things either not included or not working properly in 2.0. It is needed. As good as the OS is it is FAR from finished/polished. Flash is a separate entity created, distributed and supported by Adobe. If you don't want it than don't install it when it's pushed (but then don't expect to get support from Verizon should you need it, the first thing they will check/ask is if you have the 'current' OS).
