Is there a way to use this OTG MicroUSB thumb drive on the Droid Maxx without root?

EDIT: Thanks NWKENT for the post a minute prior. I needed something to work with 4.4 KitKat without root. Root Explorer ($3.99 also) did not work. The Nexus Media Importer worked immediately

XT1028 Moto-G stock JB 4.3 (NON ROOT) using "Root Explorer" app.. This device is recognized and works great with a 16, 32 and 64 gb card inserted..I own three of these awesome card readers..

Kit Kat on Droid Maxx..haven't gotten it working yet..but Maxx with JB 4.2.2 (Rooted) runs this device perfectly.. Can't comment on (NON ROOT) Droid Maxx
