Hi all. I've had my Droid (A855) for well over a year now and have come across a problem that I can't seem to fix. I'm hoping and guessing that it's an easy fix and you all will tell me what to do...:)

The "phone memory" keeps filling up. I delete my text messages, old apps that I don't need/use and it works again. Then - full again. At first I thought I would buy a bigger memory sd card - but then I realized there is only ONE item on that card (from what I can tell).

So my question - how (or can) do I move memory from the "phone memory" to the "sd card memory"??

Thanks!

Some apps may be moved to the sd card.
Also there is an app called app2sd to help in that regard.
How big is your SD card?

How do you keep filling the phones memory?

Not sure...

I guess when I have a lot of texts, etc.

I don't have a lot of apps anymore - mostly because I removed them when the memory got full.

I'll look into the apps2sd.

SD card is 16mg, but I'm willing to get 32mg if needed.

I'd like to put music on my phone and some other features, but just can't if it keeps filling up so quickly.

Thanks AngryHatter!! I'll give your suggestion a shot. Any other advice?

GB, not mg.

Don't forget that cache and data for your apps also use internal storage. For some reason, people keep overlooking those. It's not just the apps themselves.
