Leaving droid x

I just bought a droid razr and it will be here today. I loved my x and hope the razr will stand up to this and be better. I have a few questions though how do I transfer my apps to my new phone? I have some that I can't find in the market anymore. Thanks for your help.

Connect your x to your PC/select USB mass storage from your phone, then drag n drop whatever apps you want to save into a folder called x apps on your desktop (so you can find it easily).......doing the same w your new phone.....drag n drop the apps into your sd card

This only works for apps that are stored on the sd card or if your phone is rooted. I realize you said some are no longer in the market but for those that are, you can go into your settings and make sure that your phone us backed up to your google account, then when you sign in to your new razr when you get it, everything will automatically start downloading from the market the first time you open it. All contacts will also be in your phone.
