Is the DROID x getting upgraded to ice cream sandwich? It is a fast phone and alot of people bought it.

I would guess there will be no official roll out for it since its been out for a while. But I would guess that a custom rom would be a good possibility since there is still a good amount of dev support. But that's just my speculation, anything can happen.

I agree. It will have to be aftermarket, kinda like how the OG Droid got GB.

it would have to be thru a 2nd init rom like cm7 since we have a locked bootloader and wont have a ics kernel
