Is there an app that allows you to be away from your home and access your home pc? I'm a student and I am always on the and am wondering if I can access my visual studios from my cell, or other software I use for school.

There are several. Go to the market and search for 'remote computer access' without the quotes. Visit the various developer sites to see which appeals to you, and by all means read the reviews in the Market to be sure the their users are happy.
