Today, and today only, Microsoft is allowing a FREE WINDOWS 8.1 UPGRADE to all existing Windows 8 customers. Tomorrow it will cost $119.99. The following link from PC Magazine explains how to download the upgrade. It took me about an hour on an old PC that was originally a Vista/upgraded to Win7/then upgraded to Win8 because I ran the Compatibility program. Another person I knew did it in probably 15 minutes. Anyway, I don't have much experience with 8.1 yet, but it really seems to be snappier and cleaner and less buggy on my old upgraded PC. It kind of made it like new -- I'm happy!!
