Is there anything else I can use besides Windows Media Player to upload music and pictures to my droid ? i hate that , sorry if this isn't the place not sure where else to ask.

EDIT: I'm talking about on my laptop incase anyone was wondering, not a phone app.

just drag and drop the files onto the sdcard no need for any media software.

music should be in /media/music/ on the SDcard.

Hello, you can locate the media file on your computer and then right click it and hit "send to" then send it to the removable disk. Post back if you can't find it

Since your 2nd question hasn't been answered yet...i will give it a shot...
Your SD Card is not on your laptop...it us inside your phone. You drag your media files from the laptop to you phones SD card. You access the SD Card by plugging the phone into the laptop via USB cable, and then opening it just like you would any other removable storage drive...

Post back if you are still lost on this and we can get ya squared away...

Try goin to my computer on your laptop and see if you see a removable disk in the list of things on your computer. Also pull down the status bar and make sure your phone is in USB mass storage mode

I think were all missing the initial step, when you connect your droid to your computer do you pull down the shade and tap the box that says "usb connected" and then "mount USB?"
