I was really hoping for a 24th launch date... kinda dissapointed but had alot doubts about it being released on the 24th so whatever... I'm now thinking I should just wait for the next Samsung or LG phone.. I'm sure those will release before the tbolt does...

You may not be too far off on that. Just saw some info on the Samsung phone.

It just may beat the bolt to market. To bad its ugly. And made by samsung.

Y'all need to take some deep breaths. The release of this phone is close at hand. There will be an announcement from Verizon, I have been told Wednesday with the release still on track for Thursday. So lets not flame anyone who has been providing information and lets just try to relax and wait. Its only 48 hours....... if no phone or announcement, then flame but right now calling people out and trying to stir the pot of rumors is doing nothing productive.

I agree. And I don't get what the big deal is about this phone anyway..its just 4g that makes it different from some of the phones already out if I'm not mistaken right?

sent....

lets face it. This thing is having issues. Whether it be the hardware or the network (I surmise th latter - HTC knows how to make a 4G phone). All the "leaked" dates were probably based on truths. These dates were not just made up. It was dumb for them to take them as gospel thats for sure. Better to let them work out all the bugs. If you think it is crappy waiting for the phone imagine how mad you would be if it did not work. They tried...I am confident they tried hard to get this out earlier this month. I have to agree with them on this though - if it does not work DO NOT put it in my hands.

Ok so I stopped by my Verizon Corporate store today and asked about the TB release date. He said they didnt have them in stock yet but the internal website they access for the information is quoting a release date of Feb 28th.

He also indicated that at this point those that got it before new data pricing for 4g came out would be grandfathered in under there current pricing plan.

So take it with a grain of salt OR TWO. But it looks like it might be coming out on the 28th.

this right here is why htc beats motorola by a long shot. the second mototola sees something on a phone that they like they instantly create a similiar device and rush it out to stores for customers to purchase. the result? people hating the phone because it doesn't work properly and then they return the phone only to get a new model and find that one doesn't work properly either. htc is the total opposite. they see something and spend months perfecting it so it has little to no problems when it reaches customers. if the thunderbolt is being held back a few more weeks it's probably for the best, the phone will most likely be 100% perfect and not have flaws here and there. i still want to see this phone in person so hurry up htc/verizon!

Honestly if it came out, had some bugs that could be fixed with an update I would not care. I would just be happy to have a new phone. It REALLY would not bother me. They are just blindfolding us and letting other people talk to us about where we are going while only they (VZW) knows for sure.

Take it as you will ... My friend works is a manager at VZW and he jus told me he jus got informed the TB is being pushed bck because of software issues. This is getting old

We wont get either but thats a separate issue...I would rather have a buggy phone than one that causes me to lose money (i.e. resets, dropped calls, loss of data service without warning, etc). I suspect the issues are more serious that minor annoyances.

do you want a flawless phone or a buggy one?? gotta wait for them to iron out the kinks.. be paitent.. its coming.

I would prefer a buggy one now. I am completely serious. It's been "coming soon" for months already. "Coming soon" means NOTHING. If it can be fixed with updates I'll take it ASAP.
