Im with you on the unlocked bootloader though. But.. with all things headed towards dual core, quad core, etc.... wouldnt the TB become obsolete fairly fast? I mean, i nkow it has the LTE advantage that no other phone out has but, thats going to change fairly soon yes?

I have nothing against you though, I'm not trying to start something, so why do you feel like you have to make stuff like this up? I haven't "closed any threads." I haven't been warned about my posts or told that I'm crossing any lines. I'm disagreeing - pessimistically perhaps - but I feel like some of you are being overly optimistic.

As an innocent b ystander to this thread (yes the drama pulled me in).. can someone tell me what the big deal is about the TB? I'm not being negative, I am simply asking. Maybe I am uninformed but.. i am pretty sure the Bionic is right around the corner and it slams this phone in every way possible YET.. no one cares about that phone... its all about the TB. why?
In every way? There's processor and...oh wait. The tb even has more ram.
The selling point is the unlocked bootloader(made the OG droid what it is today) and the massive rom/kernel support that will follow. And sense is far better than blur, imo.

Realistically, everythings going obsolete quickly nowadays. The major point to most people here is the developer support that's coming for this phone.

I still dont think they will release it the same day the xoom is released and if they were going to why not announce it at the same time that the xoom was announced. I just beleive that they will push it back to the 28th just so the two dont get released on the same day just my thought tho which makes sense
As far as the Atix is concerned, by the time it gets to Big Red, it will be outdated. I only mention that because I have been with Verizon since before they merged and in my area they were called Air Touch Cellular. Yes, I am old school... car phone attached to the "hump" in the middle of my car. Point is, I aint going anywhere so my concern is with VZW phones only.

I would think Best Buy would be the least reliable source on this matter.
-Best Buy in Grand Rapids left a Facebook update that Thunderbolt would release 2/14
-Best Buy started taking pre-orders on February 6 for the Thudnerbolt and told customers that it would be released 2/14
-Bust Buy is now being really careful not to speculate on any other release dates in any official way because they really have no control or idea of when they will be allowed to sell the phones that are collecting dust in their store rooms.

The Tbolt will be second gen Snapdragon Single core. While it might be out dated it will take a while for true apps take advantage of a dual-core process or to come out even after the bionic is released. So a single core processor will suffice just fine for the near future.

I use my fone to check e-mail, browse the web, watch movies and tv shows, text, games...I mean, if u root you can make it a little faster and change up some themes....whats really all the fuss about i dont get it.
I mean, I want the Tb for the bigger screen and 4g. other than that, there is really no difference b/w that and the incredible or droid x
