HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

I am so done with the release games. Verizon needs to either release it or pull it and not display it anymore. The head games that have been played with this phone and its release has really turned my opinions of Verizon and Best Buy. So much for being concerned about the customer. But when it comes to getting new customers they are all over it but to heck with their existing customers.
I still do not see why Verizon keeps getting dragged into this. All Verizon has EVER said as far as a release date is "Q1". The ad on VZW's web site just says "coming soon". Verizon has never announced an official "date".
As for Best Buy, well what can I say? BB sucks. They always have, they always will. I do not buy from them and I am not going to start now. Their staff is clueless about technology and if you think the TB is the first time BB has blown ads or dates, you're sadly mistaken.
Yup, get ticked off with BB, everyone should. I just don't see people getting upset with Verizon. As long as the phone is released on or before March 31 it's in the "Q1" time frame.

Well I know it doesn't matter what bb says, but when I called earlier she stated "they are not sellable until the 24th"

Well just called my BB and the girl got quite snippy and told me that the release got pushed back and that there is no release date. I asked then why did they advertize it and she said "looks its a mistake, I am sorry but there is no phone". I am so done with the release games. Verizon needs to either release it or pull it and not display it anymore. The head games that have been played with this phone and its release has really turned my opinions of Verizon and Best Buy. BB is not Verizon. BB jumped the gun and should have had thier facts straight. They got burned with the 2/14 date. Before I publish a second add I make sure that I have the product in hand.
If I am Verizon I read them the riot act about this add.

the thing that gets me about verizon though is that they new an exact date for the iphone...but have no idea about any android products that ever release on their line. BS. its not good marketing, it just makes angry buyers that leave a sour taste in their mouth

I preordered the TB at the BB in Henrietta NY the 1st day they were accepting preorders. Just called BB and was told the TB "is not available today, maybe later this week." I can wait; adults have the ability to delay gratification.

I see what you both did there, but with all due respect, it's kind of contradicting the whole "adult" vibe you're trying to communicate

Yeah it is listed as "NOW" in my add as well. I am in Tucson, Arizona. Gonna have to wait until 10 to find out from BB what the deal is. I certainly hope there is no further delay, that would really mess up my birthday!!
well heres hoping it comes out in time. this entire forums irate haha, we'll storm the trenches today. i think ill go it, people are usually more privvy to letting info slide when you're in front of them.
I'm in the Lawrenceville area and pre ordered at the Princeton Best Buy. You do a preorder there too? If so did you happen to make it within the first 10? I JUST missed it. I really hope they get more than 10..

I am not buying this phone at $300, just ridiculous, sounds like I might be gettin a X
It's $249. The $50 deposit for pre order is included as part of the $250.

Why? Because an item is advertised as being available when it isn't? That's what the law is for. Best Buy has misled us from go. As a consumer, I think it's time for that to end. A simple retraction would suffice, but they have chosen NOT to do it. Their right to remain tight lipped ended when they (allegedly) broke the law.
Seriously, lets assume that your 20 years old. The TB gets delayed 2 weeks. That is 0.19% of your life so far and perhaps 1/20% of your total life. If this is the worst thing that you are going to suffer during your life than count yourself lucky. If this tiny setback is going to ruin your life then you need to prepare for a very sad one.
