Yeah I am probably going to drive up there after the 500. I am definitly going to have the ad in hand as well to see if I can push an answer out of them if I do not get a phone. I am sooooo over this waiting game.

As of this writing, the ad is displayed on the web WITHOUT correction. I am going to the store later to see if there is a correction posted in store. Either way, since the web ad does NOT display a correction, I will be filling out the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs complaint form (linked below-search your state's Division of Consumer Affairs website for a similar form if you are not in NJ). This, IMO, clearly falls under the "deceptive practices" category in the state statutes.

I don't expect to get my phone. What I do hope is that if enough of us file, Best Buy will point the finger where the REAL blame for this is, and we can get some kind of official comment.

Why? Because an item is advertised as being available when it isn't? That's what the law is for. Best Buy has misled us from go. As a consumer, I think it's time for that to end. A simple retraction would suffice, but they have chosen NOT to do it. Their right to remain tight lipped ended when they (allegedly) broke the law.

have you had your head stuck in the sand the past 12 or so hours? THERE WILL BE A CORRECTION TO THE AD POSTED IN THE STORE. End of story. That's all they have to do.

All I have to say is "its a phone" it will come when it comes.. Theres no need to go all legal because BB has it in the ad and its not there.. IT IS JUST A PHONE..

I sure hope to get a call sometime from BB telling me to pick the phone up.. Not meaning today just this week..

I understand exactly where you're coming from, but the law in my state makes it illegal to advertise a product as available that is not, so I have EVERY right to go all legal. And I'm not trying to start a flame war here... I respect your opinions. I just ask that you respect mine as well.

Which none of us have seen... thus the reason I am heading out to BB as described in my post to see it for myself.

If your store doesn't have a retraction/correction posted, then by all means, go ahead. Otherwise... you have no grounds for legal action

I called my Congressman this morning to discuss this. It was a little hard to get him on the phone but I assured him that it was a matter of extreme urgency. He seemed very concerned. He's looking into it. Thank God.

So I see that you have chosen sarcasm in my response to a request for respect. That's completely within your right, and I'm going to be an adult and respect your right to be sarcastic. Shame you chose not to join me...

My BB in PA says that it's a screw up. Its in the ad because it was supposed to be launched on V day. He says the NEXT target date is the 24th. We shall see

I preordered the TB at the BB in Henrietta NY the 1st day they were accepting preorders. Just called BB and was told the TB "is not available today, maybe later this week." I can wait; adults have the ability to delay gratification.

BTW, I have been an early adapter in all types of technology. As such, there is always a price to pay, whether it be in dollars, buggy software or the anxiety of waiting. Those that aren't of this breed will stroll into a store in a few weeks and without breaking a sweat or raising their pulse level will get exactly what they weren't even looking for. Ah to be one of the simple folks

And I totally do..

Just called my local BB...of course they do not have it either.....and they said they are not sure when it will be released.....he did inform me though that I can still pre order one if I want....

the wait continues :)

Well just called my BB and the girl got quite snippy and told me that the release got pushed back and that there is no release date. I asked then why did they advertize it and she said "looks its a mistake, I am sorry but there is no phone". I am so done with the release games. Verizon needs to either release it or pull it and not display it anymore. The head games that have been played with this phone and its release has really turned my opinions of Verizon and Best Buy. So much for being concerned about the customer. But when it comes to getting new customers they are all over it but to heck with their existing customers.
