how do you find what number your local BB is? I'm trying to find the one for Princeton, NJ.

Google "Best Buy near me" it will give you the closest. Put your ZIP in the ad too

That would make sense Miami. Thought they would go that route. Take advantage of the people that forget to do the rebate and gain some xtra for the company. Normal business.. Guess I will probably be looking to order online and get the instant rebate so i won't have to wait.. at least in past that seems to be the case. Hopefully they will have some kind of a early order for online to get delivery on Thursday.. or just more wishful thinking..

Yea I have done that before. Since I have a relationship locallt. I put out the $$ to make sure the guys get the credit. Xoom + Bolt = more than 1k :icon_evil:

So looks like the MIR might be a go again with Verizon. Maybe right? I know BB has it listed at 299 and 249 after savings.. since the new rebate offer was only out till 2/14 for the i*hone launch we will see what Verizon has in store for those that are on annual and can't go to BB..

$349 rtail with $100 MIR I beleive. So $249 on a 2 year deal

If there was a mir, wouldn't they have to disclose it in the ad?

BB ad will be different from VZW or whoever. VZW traditionally does MIR. Bestbuy does instant (most of the time) and some others do it different etc. etc.

Other than a release date, that's what I'm waiting for. I would love for them to throw those of us that have been following this phone for almost 2 months a bone and do an online preorder. Aside from online sales not having MIRs, they usually ship them out so that they arrive 1-3 days before they are available in stores.

I guess we will find out after BB opens. I am beginning to feel like a father who is expecting a child. I have the "nursery" all set up; charger, case, long usb to micro cables,etc. Somehow though, I think if I want a delivery today, it will take a cesarian.

well heres hoping it comes out in time. this entire forums irate haha, we'll storm the trenches today. i think ill go it, people are usually more privvy to letting info slide when you're in front of them.

Yep its called a silent launch...happens all the time

Not for such a high-profile launch. Unless you have some inside knowledge otherwise, I would highly doubt they release without letting people know it's coming.

As of this writing, the ad is displayed on the web WITHOUT correction. I am going to the store later to see if there is a correction posted in store. Either way, since the web ad does NOT display a correction, I will be filling out the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs complaint form (linked below-search your state's Division of Consumer Affairs website for a similar form if you are not in NJ). This, IMO, clearly falls under the "deceptive practices" category in the state statutes.

I don't expect to get my phone. What I do hope is that if enough of us file, Best Buy will point the finger where the REAL blame for this is, and we can get some kind of official comment.

I just called local Best Buy here in CT and the rep said the "e-mail received this morning says the release is still 2/24." No Thunderbolt available today.
