Apologies if this has been asked and answered but am I correct that the TB uses the same type USB port as the Droid (micro?)? So the many of us upgrading from the OG Droid can use the same AC and car chargers? It seems Seidio's proposed TB accessories list the Droid, X, 2 under the TB charger compat list.

Each of my past phone upgrades have usually meant a new investment in chargers so this would be nice as extra chargers are a must in today's world.

i havent seen this question yet. but short of the iSuck, i havent seen a phone in a while that doesnt use microUSB. so you're safe for them. as for cardocks or multimedia home docks, youll have to drop the cash.

I have had some history with Samsung's proprietary ports in the past not to mention going back to my Treos. And yes, I've already written ProClip (my car dock of choice) to make sure they have a headstart on a car holder for the TB. I had done the same when the Droid first came out. I even helped tweak their original design when it came out as it had a "bug".

good stuff. if you see they have a good car dock let me know! i love having it hanging right there when im driving.

Upon further review, it appears that the universal charger laws I heard of are from EU. It has to do with extra chargers in landfills!

I don't really see the mobile phone companies making special phones for Europe only though with different chargers here.
So your Droid charger should work.

Yeah, I think the EU uses micro-USB. I'm kinda suprised that we haven't started using that more in the states, probably just because mini-USB is so common. At this point I hope they don't start switching over, I have a buttload of mini cables but only 1 or 2 micro.

I like their system of the two customized pieces: one for the car and one for the phone. Classy look, secure, convenient and way nicer than those stupid suction cup mounts. Pricey for sure but when you change either your car or your phone, you buy only the piece you need. I think I'm on my 3rd or 4th phone mount for the same car mount. Maybe I need a new car some day but all my money goes to phones! Sorry if OT.

well its not relevant and for that i apologize to everyone. but rather than continue, can you pm me a link to them? i in fact had a suction mount for the d1 and it ALWAYS falls. besides being an inconvenience, if i get one and my TB breaks as a result, i will burn down my verizon outlet.

You can get mini to micro usb adapters for cheap at monoprice.com.
