I'm excited about this

So, basically, Qualcomm paid Netflix a bundle for exclusivity on the platform?

"due to their grasp on security "

I'm not sure if it is code for something or not, sounds like they will all get it eventually but there is something with the snapdragon processor that made it easier/more secure so it is in line first

right. its code for "netflix has qualified the snapdragon platform and can enforce viewer licensing and fees for downloaded content"

I'm pretty sure Netflix is all about the security thing, so Snapdragon must have what Netflix is looking for.

As long as its not a locked bootloader that they are looking for :icon_eek: but obviously thats not the case, or others would be getting it as well.

Bionic, iphone4, thunderbolt comparison to hold us over.

Verizon Droid Bionic vs. iPhone 4 vs. HTC Thunderbolt

there are two facts I find fascinating, in viewing the above chart:

1. the TB standby time is longer than the Bionic. that doesn't tell us much about talk time, web surfing time, or skyping time, but why haven't all the "HTC battery life sucks" people been repeating this spec?

2. I find the display resolution bragging rights for the Bionc to be not only amusing, but downright laughable. after doing some calculations based on visual acuity, I found that one needs to be less than 3.2 inches away from the display to even notice the difference!

btw, 3G time for the TB is listed at 6 hrs, while it is 8 hrs for the Bionic. Point being, actual battery life depends on individual usage

And for me 10 more days with my LG Voyager :icon_evil:

dude you still have a voyager? thats impressive :-) good texing phone I liked the large physical keyboard.

Still, I just don't see why everyone is so hyped up on this. read between the lines re: Apple's legal machine and VZW's silence. TB is not coming until Apples lawers say it can

Yes, I do. It's been good to me but it's not what it used to be. I'm eligible and VERY ready for my upgrade. And Apple can go...do stuff

I'm right there with you only I'm still sporting the LG EnV2. Extremely ready for the upgrade and waiting for the Thunderbolt.
