dang, looks like black_man_X has now put his tweets to private, I wonder why?

He was building up his list on gdgt.com, and every time he did it, it put out a twitter post saying what he had added. Apparently some people got PO'd he was filling up their Twitter timeline with those posts and complained or stopped following him. He probably just set it to private while he finishes updating or to make people stop *****ing and beg for him to come back ;)

I'd take everything with a grain of salt until something concrete comes to light...

No sense in letting your blood pressure soar over rumors...

Wow. Well, that kills any thoughts I had of paying retail. I know it's LTE, but that's overpriced by at least $100 for the hardware.

That's a understatement....... stupid technology.

Don't BB stores have a history of having higher no contract prices than Verizon corporate stores? At least that's what I remember from the few times that I have compared.

Actually it's usually the opposite. Verizons prices were only equal to best buys BC of NE2 credit when my brother upgraded to his Droid. And best buy was giving fascinates and the DINC away for free with a new 2 yr contract just last month and December if I remember correct

I don't think so.

Phone.....................BestBuy................Verizon
Droid Inc..................$600......................$530
Droid X....................$600......................$570
Samsung Fascinate....$600......................$580

Remember that I said no contract price, as that is what someone was looking at.

That's amazing they make any money, given VZW stores all over the place and how easy it is to shop online. I guess a lot of people just don't look around for the best price.

The irony is you could try out the DX at Best Buy, download Shopsavvy, scan the barcode, and then know VZW has it cheaper!

O I missed the contract prices part ... reading fail ...
The high price is good for those of us with upgrades who plan to enroll in the buy back program though

The good news if you are having any Verizon issues, and need customer service, go there today.

It was funny...I am near a major Verizon store in NYC and they had a sad, red velvet rope outside with nobody standing in line. I walked in and was outnumbered 2 to 1 (salesperson to customer). Never had better service. They should anticipate an iphone launch everyday! Where are the hoards of people they were expecting? I did some checking and its not just NYC where the demand did not quite match their expectation.
