I wonder if Miami is sweating yet. His "sources" said the 24th, but as the hours go by that day is looking less and less likely.

I REALLY want to believe it is this Thursday, but I can't be the only beginning to have doubts even based on trusted sources like Miami. Someone chime in here and give me a logical explanation for no word from Verizon and release date being in 2 days!! Like I said I want to believe!

if it's not the 24th all I know is I wish I wasn't going to be out of town then, or I'd be going into BB giving them hell on telling me false info when it has been pretty clearly nobody knows the date yet (I never believed them to be true, I just wanna give them crap for acting like they know)

Yes it will be 350 in store and you'll get 100 rebate or it could be a 50 rebate and in that case it would be 300 in store. Either way price will be 250 after rebate.

@htowngator depends on launch date. Works fine on my unit. skype rumors are multi level. But the goal is to get a product that impresses

I'm watching How I Met Your Mother on CBS and the new Thunderbolt commercial just aired. It still says "Coming Soon".

i saw the commercials as well last night.

once again i didn't read anything here since last week so i had to catch up... looks like the 24th is actually happening. should be exciting for those that are going to be upgrading. still happy with the incredible i got back in december but after seeing videos of the thunderbolt on youtube i'm not sure what i'm going to do the day the phone's released.

still liking the 4.3 screen, ffc is a plus, video calls... without needing wifi (take that iphone!) and all the benefits of sense.

i think i asked this months ago but can't remember... will the phone be fully linked to htcsense.com? and by fully linked i mean text messages backed up online (you can also send texts through the site), if you lose your phone you can lock it on a computer, you can locate it from a computer etc.

do we know what accessories will be available when the phone is released?

Y'all need to take some deep breaths. The release of this phone is close at hand. There will be an announcement from Verizon, I have been told Wednesday with the release still on track for Thursday. So lets not flame anyone who has been providing information and lets just try to relax and wait. Its only 48 hours....... if no phone or announcement, then flame but right now calling people out and trying to stir the pot of rumors is doing nothing productive.

Those two guys are full of it miami and blackmanx if it does come out thursday which is doubtfull it won't come from there inside info, an educated guess at best. From the beginning the earliest was the 10th and that was a long shot, than the 17th came and went now the 24th. That date from the beginning was the most relavant since it was the end of the month and about the same time as the Xoom which is in no way in competition with the thunderbolt unless it makes calls and can fit in your pocket! Actually makes sense that you would get more people in the stores for the bolt also looking at the XOOM.


There is obviously a problem with something in the phone and it;s not skype. An educated guess by reading the blogs would be with the switchover from 3 to 4g causing dropped calls, that is a big deal and they need to know that is working properly. Verizon does not need to launch a device that the first feedback from customers is DROPPED CALLS. That is by far the worse thing that could happen. Thee IPhone recieved many bad reviews for the antenna problem and that was apple not HTC who has had there fair share of issues in the past.



People are calling this a flagship device lol.... it doesn't even have the droid logo on it and will be upstaged by the Bionic in a very short time. All the attention with the Thunderbolt is drawing the attention away from the bionic which most likely is having the same issues with the switching, once the Thunderbolt is released the Bionic willl be right behind it. Remember the Atrix is the same basically as the Bionic..... OK not exactally the same I know the specs but that will ne the flagship for a little while anyway!

It is an Android phone, but it is not a "droid" like the Droid X, or the Droid Incredible.

this might be a bad question since i'm on my second droid phone... and it's an incredible... but what's the difference? can't it do what the incredible can do and then some?
