HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

Does anyone else think its weird that the name of the device isn't HTC Thunderbolt 4G? Every other carrier makes sure to put "4G" in the name of their device like Inspire 4G or Evo 4G or Mytouch 4G. You'd think Verizon would want this in the name of their first 4G device. Anyways, I'm really hoping for a 24th release.

looks like the 24th is looking more and more promising.
Phil Nickinson at androidcentral has confirmed a 2/24 as the release date for the TB.

Ya he confirmed it on the 10th. a LOT has happened since then. Don't hold your breath for a 24th release.

You would think with ATT&T going live with the Atrix today it would be a perfect day to rain on their parade with some Thunderbolt love... Sure Atrix is dual core and all that blah blah. but personally TB 4G Verizon.. well I will save that for another thread..

Verizon just announced the official release date for the Xoom. I had thought they had already officially announced the 24th as the release date, but I guess that was just Bes Buy. Hopefully this means they are work on a tbolt press release right now.
