I'm disappointed because I don't have any devices that are DLNA capable, while I could just hook up my phone to TV if it had HDMI cable.

most practical use is a TV. HTC will be selling an accessory to make any tv capable of DLNA usage, so ive heard.

-disclaimer- ..i just heard this somewhere. please dont set me on fire if im wrong.

When i searched for this online it seemed to be HDMI output only, my poor old CRT will be left out in the cold. :(

I was seriously considering using some of our income tax return to get a 40-42", but my son currently refuses to keep his hands off the TV.

May still pull the trigger on that after getting the TBolt though. :)

Just lock it so he can't use it. Problem solved!

Does the TB really have the same screen/worse than the Droid2?

Phonearena.com says they both have TFT screens and the Droid 2's resolution is 480 x 854 pixels while the TB's resolution is 480 x 800 pixels.

Am I mistaken or is the Droid 2 screen better? I know we've heard the TB has a Super LCD screen, but if the Droid 2 doesn't then why isn't this boasted on phone arena? When I compare the two and the fascinate its TFT TFT and Super AMOLED.

not sure if im wrong but the screen on the moto device is a little taller and the one on the tb is slightly wider the 800 is not the res 480 is but then again im not sure but the slcd will look great not sure if the d2 is a slcd... sry if im wrong anyone have anything to add

The 800 is the res too.....
800 pixels tall x 400 wide.

The TB is not really that great. Its an entry level phone that has been gifted with 4g to make it more appealing.

tape him to the ground. and yeah, i would. good to spoil yourself once in a while, and the TVs good for much more than just DLNA. i found 40" to be a good size.

Am I the only one that noticed that the original unboxing video of the bolt on You Tube the guy was commenting and showed how fast at startup it was I timed it at 8 seconds impressive to say the least! The latest one buy firefly is much much slower!! about the same as my X now this is confusing! The one at firefly was hooked up to wifi and it was not quick!

Maybe it is like a blackberry. It goes into basically goes into hibernate instead of complete shutdown. The first video he already had it on. The wirefly he had to insert the battery ( cold boot) .

So what exactly make this a "entry level phone"? It's not always about the fastest cpu/gpu, highest resolution, etc. It's how well the hardware uses what it's got, the experience as a whole.
