[How To] Setup GMX POP3 - Mail

Hey guys,

this is a little manual to get POP3 working on your Milestone.
As an example i chooose german free-mail Provider GMX.

[optional]switch over to Wifi, to avoid network timeouts
[01] Goto Mail icon in Main Menu
[02] Click Options Button and select Add Account
[03] Select "manually Setup"
[04] Enter the following:

Username: "[email protected]"
Password: "yourpassword"

POP-Server: mail.gmx.net

[05] Set TLS or SSL if neede
[06] Choose options on mail deleeting as liked
[07] Click NEXT

Now your Milestone is searching for the mailserver and tries to sign in. If successfull, it will promt you for the next steps:

[08] Enter SMTP Server: mail.gmx.net
[09] Choose Update Times
[10] Click NEXT and set optional name

FINISHED

Hey do you happen to know the settings for yahoo email accounts too?
Mine just won't work.​

Yahoo doesnt work over wifi only over GPRS or EDGE or 3G that is your issue I am sure .
