how to move sms from Blackberry?

I recently switch from a Blackberry (only had it 8 months and hated it) to a Droid X. How can I transfer the sms from my Blackberry to the Droid X ? I downloaded a software ABC Amber Blackberry Conveter and can see that I can save all the text to a file on my desk top.

Can someone help?

I have a lot to learn to use this phone. I also need to figure out if it can give audible alerts for new emails / text

Sure it can. Check the notification settings in your apps.
