How do you boot into recovery?

Sorry, I know its probably in that froyo thread but that thread is like 8+ pages long : ( Any help please so I can install froyo?

To enter into recovery, power off your phone completely. Then, using the physical keyboard, hold the letter, "X", and keep it pressed down as you press the power button. Do not let up on letter X until you see the recovery menu screen appear.

Hold down the x key and press the power button. When the icon appears mid screen, press volume up and camera.
