how do u remove verizons unwanted stuff and network settings

hello i bought a droid 4 on ebay with android 4.0.4 installed and running stock 6.16.217 rom,
how do u remove verizons apps, unknown sim on start-up and other verison stuff?
works fine on 2g 3g networks

Verizon apps you will need to be rooted to delete... about the SIM card do you have one from another phone? If not get one, they are free.

i have a sim from three ireland its workin ok now

it worked and installed superuser
but it still said the unknown sim card message on boot
the sim works ok

so how do i get rid of the verizon stuff

If you have root then download Titanium Backup (there may be other apps that do the same thing) but if you get the pro version it should Allow you to freeze the apps also. Be careful what you delete unless you are sure it is safe to do so. The way I go is I freeze things and if the phone doesn't act up then I know they are safe to delete permanently. If you expect there to be an official OTA just be aware you will have to restore all those apps before you can update.
