How do I change the name of a folder on my Droid x?

Open the folder whose name you want to change. Do a long press on the folder title bar. A"rename folder" box should come up and type in the new name.

I highly recommend the app Folder Organizer (paid and Lite versions available). It will allow you to choose icons for your folders, and you can use the folders as dock shortcuts in Launcher Pro as well.
