Did you use rom manager to do your rom flashing?

Umm I don't know if I used a rom manager. I bootstrapped to clockwork and followed in instructions I was given on the liberty rom thread

Ok. That's a good start. I would make a backup of whatever you are on now... at least it is stable and will give you something to flash back to if crap hits the fan. If you need to get back to stock you will just have to sbf again.

I'm not sure about updating a kernel. You sbf'd back to stock kernel and os. And no you will not get OTA updates from custom ROMS.

You can't update the kernel with a custom one because the wonderful people of Motorola have locked the bootloader.

All in all you should be fine with where you are. I haven't heard of any updates coming out anytime soon. If and when they do just pay attention to the forums and it will be buzzing as to how to update and such.
