[Guide] [3/22/11] Complete Guide to recover your Fascinate from any Error.
I've created this Guide because I know there are plenty of people who are frustrated with their Fascinate Errors and no one has answers for them (Including myself).

This Method takes while but bear with me.

This Method recovers from any Error by restarting the Fascinate from the Stock Rom.

Before you do any of this, this will wipe all the data stored in internal memory so I strongly suggest to back-up any data you would like to save by using
Titanium Back-Up (Known to be Best Back-up app and it truly is).

Step 1: Download All-in-One DI01 Rom
[ODIN] Full DI01 ODIN Package - xda-developers
Direct Link
MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Step 2: Download Odin3 1.7
[PROGRAM] Odin 1.7 with pit files. - xda-developers

Step 3: Turn your phone off. Then, Hold volume down + Press Home Button and plug it to usb computer (Taking battery out don't really matter, but like Chopper the dog thankfully stated in post #5, it helps the purpose). If the step is done right, the screen should show "Download Mode" in yellow.

Step 4: Turn on the Odin > If your phone is connected right, in the "Message" box, it should say " Added!!"
When you confirm it, click PDA, don't ever click phone button. Then click the rom you have downloaded @ step 1.
Press Start. This process might take 2 minutes to 6 minutes.
Don't unplug until the message @ bottom shows up!
When the process is done the message box should say
" Removed!!
Completed..
All threads completed. (succeed 1 / failed 0)"

From now on, it is step to recover to your previous ROM + Rooted.

Step 5: Download z4root
[APP] z4root - xda-developers

put it into sdcard, click my files, then install it. After that, click Root.

Step 6: Now you have succesfully re-rooted your phone,

Open Odin and put your phone into Download Mode.
Then again, using PDA button install the CWM-Recovery-All.

Step 7: Now, you can choose any ROM you want to install.

DJ05 ROM, Kernel, Radio
[RELEASE] DJ05 rom, kernel, radio - xda-developers
DL09 ROM, Kernel, Radio
[RELEASE] DL09 rom, kernel, radio - xda-developers
EB01 ROM, Kernel, Radio
[RELEASE] EB01 rom, kernel, radio - xda-developers
All the Superclean rom

Step 8: When you've installed your ROM,
It's time to reinstall the CWM-Recovery using Odin.
Uploaded by myself, Couldn't find decent link.

Step 9: You are free from Error now. Enjoy!

This is for those who wants the Voodoo Kernel.
Follow the steps in this post
HOW TO: Flash Voodoo Kernels and more... <LOOK HERE FIRST - xda-developers

This Method has been tested by myself and now I'm running SC2.9.1 NV + NitroDark v3 + EB01 without any error.

If you fix any error using this guide, please leave thx msg =D

I'm trying to recover my Fascinate SC 2.9.2 from Brick status.
I know just enough to be dangerous. I used the ODIN super clean all in one root and was working fine. I did some tweaks to the point of it doesn't even boot anymore, I can only get into download mode. I tried the fix for to recover from any error and ODIN loads it and then errors out about 90% into it. No errors, just says FAILED. Any ideas?

Maybe try using odin to return it to stock. Here is a link http://www.fascinateforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1646 [HOW TO] Return to Stock

Thank you! This worked for me after installing a voodoo kernel. Not sure what happened, but I could not get out of boot screen. I was able to grab this, installed, and moved on to 2.2 without a hitch. Luckily I have taken advice from other members and bough TB. Gotta love that program. Thank you again.
