Got some alcohol residue under my screen after cleaning the rails.

So a few weeks ago I was cleaning the rail with some alcohol in preparation for a little lubrication. I put some isopropyl on a qtip but I guess there was enough to wick out and under the screen. It did not evaporate cleanly and left a little residue. I don't know how many layers are under there or where it is in relation to what I can see through the glass but the phone still works perfectly, screen, touch, everything. I have all the tools necessary to take it apart. My question is, if I take it apart will I simply be able to wipe it clean and put it back together or will I need a new screen/digitizer?

Send it back to verizon if you are still under warranty. The Droid 3 has a known defect with the screen separating from the bezel and light bleeding through
