There are several different articles on the web stating that Motorola plans on dropping Google location services in place of Skyhook Wireless location services. Motorola feels Skyhook can offer a better GPS location experience to more of its customers than Google. The phones will contain all other Google user experiences.

What are your guys thoughts on this change?

Skyhook wireless location services, is that a replacement for wireless location only?
Since GPS is GPS...

I would think that one would still use maps if one wants, is maps tied directly to googles own wireless locators? Or would it just grab data from whatever provides it to the unit?

My .02 ...
