Google Calendar notifications

Hi all,

Even though I have calendar notifications turned OFF, I still get the calendar notification in my notification bar at the top, when events occur... this was a problem in the original droid as well, but I can't recall how I fixed it.. anyone?

We use the Google calendar, btw...
