gmail push notifications

I've been on CM7 for D2 for a coulpla weeks now, and I've noticed the gmail push notifications aren't working. This happened when I was on stock motoblur, but I fixed it by turning on the sync in the power bar widget. I did the same here, but still no push. Other emails, through the email app are coming through fine tho. solutions?

Have you gone in to home/settings/accounts and gone in to google and made sure sync Gmail is checked?
