Droid X2 Batter

I just got a Droid X2, ungraded from the original Droid. I am having some issues with the battery. Full charge about 3-hours ago, not much use, and now it is dead. My original Droid would run on one battery charge all day. I've downloaded Advanced Task Killer and every time I open it up there's 10-15 programs listed, even with no use. I have a 14-return policy with Verizon and am seriously considering trading it on a Droid 3. Any comments, help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you
