droid X semi-bricked after GingerBread > Liberty downgrade

I was using Liberty 1.5 and decided to try out the rooted version of gingerbread. It worked great, but I just found that I couldn't stand all the bloatware returning, even after renaming what I could find it still felt messy compared to liberty, so I decided to go back.

I had read many people stating that to downgrade you must go back to stock froyo, root, then reflash for liberty because Liberty could not be installed without root. Well of course being smarter than everyone else I thought it would work for me since I was using the rooted version of GB. Then, also because I'm a genious I decided to try and use my restore point to go back to liberty in bootsrapper rather than installing a fresh copy.

Well It didn't work and after wiping and trying a fresh install I get the same thing, phone freezes at splash screen. After doing a battery pull it will go into recovery (Clockwork) but I don't know where to go from here? I have backups from 340 and liberty, and fresh install files for liberty and GB on the SD card, but nothing seems to work at this point.

any ideas?

Yes, at home. is there a guide for this? I'll start searching. If I plug the phone in to my PC will I be able to acess the SD card if the phone is only running in recovery? I'd like to back up some of my photos/vids at least.

the stuff on the sd card will be unaffected by the sbf so i wouldn't worry about it too much. the fifth link in my signature has a great tutorial, and i can try to answer any questions you have, but if you're thinking about doing it now i'm about to pass out.

SBF worked great once I was able to get into stock bootloader. Thanks-a-ton spaz, you've gotten me out of every tight spot I've ever been in. really appreciate it.
