In a pocket in a ski jacket? Sure.
I have skied all my life, and always have a cell phone or pda with me.
The only times I ever had any noticeable changes was if I left them in the car all night, or a very cold day. But as soon as the device physically warmed up, it was back to normal.
If you are skiing on a mountain, with a Droid in your pocket, temperature damage is the LEAST of your worries, trust me on that one  I've had phones slip out of pockets during crashes, crushed underneath in falls, and soaked with snow. Never worried about it being too cold for the phone.

Heh, your crashing comment just reminded me of once when I crashed on Tall Paul in Kellogg. I remember as I was cartwheeling through the air, a thought came into my head..."hmmmmm... I wonder who sent me that text message when I got off the chair...?" Lol. Funny memory.

I used my MotoDroid for 3 days in zeroF temps with no issues last week photographing the Mt Hood area (worn on the outside). Be careful with electronics inside your jacket while skiing, you sweat and create a steamy environment which can hurt electronics.
