Droid 2 ALWAYS hot to the touch

my droid 2 is always very hot to the touch, even when its been sitting with the display off of for 15 mins or more, what is going on? is my droid defective?

Make sure you do not have a bunch of stuff on all the time, like your wifi, bluetooth, sync, and full bright.
If that is not the case switch out batteries. If it still is getting very hot then check out a warranty replacement.

all I have on is "data enabled". "backround data" is checked off

if you have any taskillers or antivirus programs they might be to blame

Another thought, do you toggle your WiFi off and on? I noticed that mine gets stuck and flips back and forth constantly which seems to keep the phone working non-stop.

If so, go into Settings - Wireless and see if your Wifi is freaking out.
