Droid 1 now - What to upgrade to?

I really like my droid 1, but feel its time to upgrade. I would like to root my phone again, altho I don't do much hardcore stuff like custom roms and whatnot, just overclocking and some basic stuff. I seem tempted by either Incredible or the X, but I'm torn over which I should get.

I don't really mind the size of the X after holding it, and it seems that the UI is more stock than the Incredible, which seems better for firmware updates. I saw the new Samsung phone, but it seems like it doesn't get as good of reviews (and Bing). The X and Incredible seems to be neck and neck review wise, but I've seen slight nods to the X.

Anything that can tip me to one or the other? What about phones in the pipeline? Anything note worthy coming out in the next couple months that is worth waiting for? The Droid 2 didn't seem to deliver a big change that I was hoping for, so I'm off to find a new phone... Any help is greatly appreciated!

Most of the bad reviews I saw on the Fascinate were related to either Touch Wiz or Bing. However, its already rooted and even has ROMs available (I believe), but the root alone will allow you to fix a lot of problems with the phone. Plus, it doesn't have the locked bootloader that both the DX and D2 have (limiting the ability to get a custom ROM).
