The update to FRG83 made me lose backups. I had rooted using the z4Root. Phone remained rooted, as root applications worked (drocap2/wifi tether/cachemate....) but I could not install any ROM's. No backup worked. Wouldn't boot into recovery...

Had to re-root using the guides here. Finally worked...Before you install update, check recovery...

First Suggestion: When you start a post, give it a title so we have an idea of what you're looking for.

Second Suggestion: I wouldn't update until after I removed the root.
