Confirmation Screen Freezing

I've barely had my Thunderbolt 4G for a week. But any time that I get to a confirmation screen, such as deleting a text thread or contact, it won't let me do anything. I have to exit out of the confirmation screen. Very, very annoying. Can anyone help?
