I just got a new company Droid handset. I notice on the order my company blocked my ability to download apps. This saddens me as there are many apps that will help my productivity as well as personal.

Is there a way to pay for and download apps on a PC and transfer them to the handset via usb cable?

Is it a Samsung Fascinate? Like your profile says?

Wouldn't you be in violation of your companies policy?
Subject to termination?

Why not buy one for yourself?

How is it blocked?

Edit: is it a password or is the market removed?

Sent from my Droid using DroidForums App

MIS removed the block. I'm good. Now if I could just find a way to move my contacts from my old Blackberry Curve! Verizon says it can't be done.

Open gmail and export your contact list - is it a csv file on a BB?
Then you import it into the phone.
At least that is how I did it when I got my phone.
