This may not be news to all of you, but it was a pleasant surprise to me. This projector that will screw into a light socket has Android guts.

More than just a projector, Beam has a taste of home-automation to it as well. Playing music, videos and games, running full apps, and even acting as its own independent Android device, it is even more versatile than at first glance.

A detail that does not make it into the video is that the maximum resolution of the image is up until 120 inches, provided that the room is dark enough (on account of its 100 lumen projector)

How appropriate to put this here. I like the concept but would rather have the ability to project my own phone screen vs having to utilize their version of android which appears to be clunky, mainly because it do not have the internals to power it at what my phone is capable of.

As stated above, you can expect to still pay around $400.

To me this is a novelty that I may spend $150 on (max).
