Roger that. I felt more comfortable sbf'ing running from the HD though, rather than from CD or USB drive.

Is there a problem using a ubuntu live cd with sbf? I've never had to sbf, but was going to do it with linux live cd if I ever had to. But if anyone else has heard of problems doing it off a live cd, I'd like to know. Thanks

I'm sure its fine, in fact that's how it says to do it in the tutorial I followed. I was just saying... :) Besides, with dual boot, I don't have to worry about losing the CD and the files that I use for sbf'ing stay on the Ubuntu desktop, saving a couple steps.

I'm trying to SBF back to .340 so I can install the rooted GB but RSD wont let me.

I turn my phone off, plug it into the computer, the bootload screen comes up and says

Battery OK
OK to Program
Transfer Mode:
USB

on RSD it shows

S Flash OMAP3630 MI 1 USB N/A Connected...

I hit start but it fails almost immediately and says

Failed Flashing process. Failed flashing process. (0x7100); phone connected

What am I doing wrong?

I am on Win 7 x64 and I've used it on my friends DX with success

EDIT: also tried other USB ports and nothing helped.

And for some reason I keep getting errors trying to install RSD lite on my laptop

From what I have read, and I read alot on here, when people have problems with RSD and Win 7 they use it running Win XP and it works just fine. Setting up my computer now to dual boot with XP and 7. So for future reference, might want to try XP.

Had same issues with Windows 7 64-bit.

I had to move .sbf file to another directory (c:\temp) and renamed it to vzw.sbf just to make it smaller and it worked.
